What is the Remembrance of the Omen King?

What to do with the Remembrance of the Omen King in Elden Ring

Elden Ring has some powerful and dangerous bosses. You also need to do a ton of exploration of its open world. The amount of hidden stuff in this game is kind of impressive. Players will not only have to tackle an army of bosses and undead, but there’s many hidden items to find. Players will have to hunt for everything from single-purpose quest items and paintings, to the various hidden NPCs. Elden Ring just loves to throw stuff at the player and tell them to figure it out. You can also collect useful healing items, like Boiled Prawns.

There are also many other items that are unique boss drops. These can be gained from taking down the one-off bosses in the game, and then usually have some kind of ulterior purpose. The Remembrance of the Omen King in Elden Ring is one of many boss drops in the game. You can only get it from Morgott, the Omen King. Morgott can be found in Leyndell, Royal Capital (the location that becomes Leyndell, Capital of Ash later in the game). He’s a story-based boss, so you can’t miss him. Once you’ve taken this boss down, you get the item and 120,000 Runes.

You also get Morgott’s Great Rune. This special consumable should be taken to the Divine Tower of East Atlus and used. When you do that, your maximum HP will greatly increase. It’s very helpful for the late-game grinding against powerful enemies if you plan to do that.

What does the Remembrance of the Omen King do?

Remembrance of the Omen King can either be traded for 30,000 Runes or handed to Enia in Roundtable Hold to unlock a special reward. By giving the Remembrance to Enia, you can get either Morgott’s Cursed Sword, or the Regal Omen Bairn consumable item. What you do with it will mostly be based on your build. Keep reading to figure out what each reward item does.

Morgott’s Cursed Sword is a curved greatsword that requires 14 Strength, 35 Dexterity, and 17 Arcane to wield. It’s a Dex-scaling weapon that inflicts bleeds on enemies it hits—great for leeching builds. The Regal Omen Bairn is a special consumable that spawns a horde of Wraiths that attack your foes. It does consume 50 FP, but has no stat requirements.

If you’re playing and enjoying the game, good for you! You might have questions though, so we have some guides to help you out. When making a character, picking the right class is important. Figure out how to level up your character once you’re in the game. From there, you might want to learn how to upgrade gear, or maybe how to find powerful weapons, like the Meteorite Staff. Or perhaps you’re a melee player and want that shiny new Rivers of Blood katana to hack away with? There are also tons of crafting jobs to be done, like making multiple types of arrows.
