Shadow of the Tomb Raider won’t have a Switch release

Switch Online Services

Bad news Nintendo fans,  Shadow of the Tomb Raider won’t be making the journey over to the Switch anytime soon.

Speaking with GameSpot, lead game designer Heath Smith revealed the studio is working entirely on making sure the other console versions deliver on the quality we expect from this kind of AAA release, namely the PS4 and Xbox One, so the Switch would take away too much focus from those versions, and the overall development would suffer.

Now this doesn’t mean that a version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider won’t land on Nintendo’s console eventually, but fans will have to keep their fingers crossed until such a release is confirmed.

In other news, Shadow of the Tomb Raider has more new gameplay you should check out showcasing combat.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider is stalking towards it’s upcoming release on September 14th for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. And if you can’t wait, be sure to check out more Shadow of the Tomb Raider news and trailers. If you want to see more combat, check out the underwater trailer.
