Xbox Game Pass adding some new games, The Gardens Between, Mutant Year Zero, and Strange Brigade

Xbox Game Pass November 2018 Part 2

Xbox Game Pass, like the other entries in the stable of Microsoft’s gaming services, just keeps on growing and adding new content.

Previously, the service grew with new entries from Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice and more earlier in the month, and now we’re getting a few more games as well.

The latest games to join the subscription system for free games are: The Gardens Between, Mutant Year Zero, and Strange Brigade.

The Gardens Between is a unique puzzle game that’s also on the Switch and PS4, here’s the official blurb:

“Follow two best friends Arina and Frendt who fall into a surreal world full of dreamlike garden islands. Together they’ll embark on a nostalgic journey through a world built around objects from their childhood, lighting constellations and illuminating threads from a time when friendship was the most important thing in the world. Manipulate time to solve puzzles and traverse each precious memory to reach the summit of each island in this single-player puzzle adventure.”

In terms of other new games, Conan Exiles maker Funcom has thrown the mutant-filled tactical adventure Mutant Year Zero into the mix. Here’s the blurb for that game too:

“A tactical adventure game with turn-based combat and real-time exploration of a post-apocalyptic world, Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden puts you in command of a unique squad of mutant soldiers as you scavenge through the remains of civilisation to survive. From the creators of Hitman and PayDay, experience a mix of story, exploration, stealth, and strategy in the brutal environment of a decimated planet Earth as your band of heroes embark on a quest to discover the legend of Eden.”

And finally, to round out the newest bundle, Rebellion will add co-op adventure shooter Strange Brigade on December 6. And here’s a description of the game from the dev team:

“Join an elite agency of extraordinary adventurers and investigate the darkest corners of Egypt, where mythological menaces manifest! Strange Brigade offers a rip-roaring, 1930s-style campaign full of peril, intrigue, and good old derring-do for one to four players as you tackle an army of mummified monsters! Solve mind-bending puzzles, defy dastardly traps, unearth incredible treasure in a mysterious, ancient landscape and use the most marvelous firearms known to man in thrilling third-person combat to defeat the witch queen Seteki and send her petrifying minions back to the afterlife.”

And don’t worry, more content is coming to the subscription service throughout December, with many more games pledged to join the 100+ already on the docket. There are some pretty big names already on that list too, with the likes of Halo 5: Gaurdians, State of Decay 2, Hitman, and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds already part of the offer. I’m willing to bet that gamers are going to be chomping at the bit to get hold of the new games Microsoft adds over the course of this next month.
