Five Nights At Freddy’s 1,2,3 and 4 Releasing On Console Nov. 29

Five Nights At Freddy's

The full cadre of horrifying YouTuber bait jumpscares that is the Five Nights At Freddy’s franchise is getting a console release. Every single major console this generation will finally be joining in on the mix of frights and fun with this port, released today for the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. A PS4 release is also planned, but no release date for that one yet, it’s probably still in cert.

Scott Cawthon created the original indie smash-hit, spawning four mainline games, and a number of spin-offs. The franchise has exploded over the last few years as the name Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza has become synonymous with jumpscares thanks to a deluge of successful video games, and even several books. Some augmented reality games, virtual reality games, and further spin-offs have also graced the franchise since its debut.

The games are based around the simple premise of trying to survive. What are you surviving against? A group of insane animatronic animals that come to life at night. In the first game, you’re the new night shift guard that has to track and contain these creations that would give Chucky nightmares. Later entries increased the complexity by adding new characters and mechanics. The core idea of surviving through the night by tracking Freddy and his buddies through various camera positions is always there though. And now, console players will finally get to experience this breed of horror.

Five Nights At Freddy’s 1,2,3, and 4 come to the Nintendo Switch and Xbox One on Nov. 29. We have no exact date for the PlayStation 4 release. Check out the trailer showing them in action down below.
