This past week at the X018 event in Mexico City, Microsoft had some new announcements for users of the Xbox Game Pass service. First off, players will be able to subscribe to Xbox Game Pass for $1 if they never have before and a year will be 50% off. In addition, the company is adding a healthy mix of indie and AAA titles to the service, there’s some really great deals here.
PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds heads up the bundle of new additions as the power hitter. And even though other similar titles like Fortnite have ruled the Battle Royale roost for a while, PUBG can certainly pull in some new comers for Xbox Game Pass.
The next big AAA title to join the bunch is the stellar and spooky Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. This deeply cerebral and very gory adventure has a lot to say, and it’s a real treat from a storytelling perspective, even if the subject matter is sometimes really tough to deal with.
There is of course a great mix of other titles, with a lot of indie flavor, in this announced set, check out the full list down below:
- PUBG
- Void Bastards
- Hellblade
- Ori and the Blind Forest
- Ori and the Will of the Wisps
- Thief of Thieves (S1)
- Kingdom: Two Crowns
- Aftercharge
- Supermarket Shriek
- Mutant Year Zero
- Pathologic 2
- Secret Neighbor
- The Good Life
- Agents of Mayhem
- MXGP 3
- Thomas Was Alone
While not a super flashy list, there’s plenty of different types of games and genres in there. Xbox Game Pass allows gamers access to more than 100 games, there’s a lot more to enjoy on the service aside from just these new additions. And with the recent announcement that Game Pass would extend to PC gamers, there’s about to be even more people jumping onboard now.
