Warriors Orochi 4 shows off PvP in new gameplay video

Warriors Orochi 4

Koei Tecmo has released a new bit of gameplay for Warriors Orochi 4. The game’s producer Masaki Furusawa, and the director Tomohiko Aoki were on hand to demo the new PvP mode being built into the game. The online Battle Arena Mode has two teams of three players facing off in a chaotic and fun battle, at least it looks fun judging from the gameplay we see here.

The mode operates like a timed Control mode in essence. Two teams must vie for control over three bases, and whoever either captures all three bases, or has the most captured when time runs out, wins. One interesting twist is that each player has the choice to swap between two different fighters mid-battle. So there’s a layer of strategy in picking offensive and defensive characters effectively, and using them at the right time.
