Bungie’s 30th Anniversary event is live in Destiny 2. Players have a huge batch of new quests to complete to earn unique rewards. Prepare to feel nostalgic as the game brings back iconic weapons and gear. Strange Coins and Strange Favor Ranks are the two core elements of this new reward structure. Treasure Keys in Destiny 2 also tie into this. Here’s what we know about them.
How to get Treasure Keys in Destiny 2
You will find these chests in Xur’s Treasure horde. Once you have begun to clear tasks throughout the game, you earn two rewards: Strange Coins, and Strange Favor, both being spent on loot. To get them, you need to finish runs of the new, and very difficult, Dares of Eternity.
The goal here is to impress Starhorse by taking out waves of enemies. The concept of the mission revolves around fiding and taking out Bombtenders and then using the bombs to take out the Commanders. The Commanders have to be taken out in this manner to finish each run. The Commanders have special icons marking them.
To begin the activity, here’s what to do:
- Navigate to the Director menu
- Choose the “Eternity” option
- Pick “Dares of Eternity”
What are Treasure Keys in Destiny 2
These keys can be used to open loot chests. The concept has been in the game many times before. The idea is that players are encouraged to interact with the new seasonal content, and they get special rewards for it. For example, the House of Wolves expansion used this idea.
