PlayStation Plus Free Games for May 2018 Revealed

Playstation Live E3 2017

Today Sony and various publishers announced what games will be available to PlayStation Plus subscribers in May 2018. It’s a pretty eclectic list, so let’s get going!

PS4 gamers are getting Beyond: Two Souls and Rayman Legends.  PlayStation 3 users can look forward to Risen 3: Titan Lords and Eat Them! Last, but not least, those who own a Vita can pick up King Oddball, which is crossbuy compatible for PS3 and PS4, as well as Furmins.

An action-thriller from the same developer behind the upcoming Detroit: Become Human. It’s a heavily story-driven experience with a lot of really intense themes and some supernatural elements. It’s a strange game, and is absolutely something you should experience if you’re a fan of David Cage schlock.

Rayman Legends is a throwback to classic 2D action platformers of the past. It was a direct sequel to Rayman Origins, which released last console generation. On top of the solid platforming action, the games were also known for their inclusion of 4 player co-op, meaning this is one you’ll be able play with friends and family.

As for PS3 games, Risen 3: Titan Lords is an action RPG with en engrossing story. The hero must embark on a quest to defeat the evil Shadow Lord, who is trying to spread his dark reign. Eat Them! is pretty simple arcade action game mash-em-up with some similarities to Rampage.

King Oddball is a physics based puzzler where you hurl boulders at legions of enemies while trying to crush resistance on the path to global domination. Furmins is a similar puzzle game with basic physics model.

The one sad bit of news is that PS3 and Vita will soon be removed from the free games section of the service. These owners will be removed from the service In February 2019.
