The Social Link/Confidant systems of the Persona games are a big part of both the story and the gameplay. As you progress through the game, you will notice that the Social Links are not in the game this time around. Since there are no Social Links in Persona 5 Strikers, you need to focus on another system. The Bond Level in Persona 5 Strikers is the new way Joker will improve his relationships with his comrades.
Since this new Switch game doesn’t have romance options and Social Links, there is something to replace it. The Bond Level in Persona 5 Strikers is the best approximation that this game has. Here’s what you can do with the system and how to min-max it. The system is pretty simple but has tons of options for what it can unlock. You can gain stat buffs, new items, and more through the Bond levels.
Each time you raise the Bond bar, you go up a level and unlock new activities. Each character has their own storyline and activities attached to Bond level. Joker will be able to get more and more of the content unlocked as the story goes on. Certain activities, as well as stat buffs, will be unlocked as well. So it’s a very good idea to get more Bond as the game goes on.
How to Raise Bond Level in Persona 5 Strikers
As you get through the story, you get a few Bond Points, but there are other ways to get these as well. The best way to raise your Bond Level in Persona 5 Strikers is to defeat enemies in the Jails within the game. You will earn EXP and other loot doing this, as well as raise your Bond Level. The Bond level will depend on what members you have in your party and what skills you have equipped. Some skills like Bondmaker can help increase the rate at which you gain points.
So basically, just go through Jails and grind a bit, and you should be fine. Other than that, there are a few ways to also get more Bond ranks.
You can complete Requests. Each of these side quests has its own unique story and you will often center on some task Joker has to do for another character in the group. For example, getting meal tickets with Ryuji leads to more Bond points. Both because you have to go through Jails and take out demons, and because the request itself has a reward. Grabbing the completion rewards for these various quests is great for raising Bond levels.
The other major way to get Bond points is to cook certain meals. Joker can cook some recipes in Persona 5 Strikers to gain more bond points and bonus EXP. Make sure to pump out some food before heading into a Jail run to get the max amount of reward from it. You can also gain various new recipes from Jails and Requests, so keep on top of them.
