It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury, but now we’ve got a new trailer which confirms it’s final release date. Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury is all about expanding the religious gameplay elements within the base game.
The big focus for this DLC is all about expanding the capabilities of religious practitioners and orders within CK II. Using the existing system for secret societies, all religious groups will get new quest lines and promotional structures for their faction. Features such as appointing sainthood, coronations, legendary bloodlines to give the descendants of warriors special bonuses have all also been added.
Religious faction that weren’t previously modeled in the base game now have the potential to form. A Reformed Paganism comes to CK II and will allow the player to craft the outlook and military might of their own faction from a religious angle. The choices you make for your politics can have profound impact on entire kingdoms and empires, so make your choices wisely.
Paradox Interactive have done an amazing job with Crusader Kings II since it’s initial release in 2012. Everything about the daily lives of fuedal lords and ladies has been massively improved since the launch of the base game, and Holy Fury is finally addressing an area of gameplay that has felt stagnant. Which is especially welcome since the religious and political machinations of the era are a literal namesake for the game.
Crusader Kings II: Holy Fury is prepping for release for one of the best grand strategy games on November 13, 2018. You can check out the latest trailer for the game down below.
