Gothita in Pokémon Go is coming right alongside another new and mysterious Psychic-type, Solosis. The two of these lovable creatures are bringing their unique looks and movesets to Niantic’s mobile game this week as part of a new weekend event. Solosis will spawn at the same time as the former, so you have a chance to get both of them in the event.
The event featuring Gothita in Pokémon Go begins on March 27 beginning at 8:00 am in your local timezone. This will run as part of the Psychic Spectacular Event wherein both Gothita and Solosis will spawn at a higher rate than normal, as well as being farmable from 2-kilometer eggs. Psychic-type Pokémon will appear in raids as well, adding a new dimension to these events. And yes, this means both Gothita and Solosis will also appear in raids.
Both of the new monsters have their own evolutions, Gothorita and Gothitelle are the two higher-level entries in the game for Gothita. Solosis can evolve into Duosion and Reuniclus.
Niantic has said they will be increasing spawns of both Gothita and Solosis during this event, likely to give everyone a chance to catch it. This new set of spawns will also be present during Gym Raids alongside a bevy of other Psychic-type Pokémon.
After the event ends on the 30th this month, the two of them will remain in the game. The two monsters can later be hatched from 5-kilometer eggs as a decent chance for a strong and varied set of Psychic-types.
Niantic has also relaxed various challenges within the game in response to the COVID-19 outbreaks. The company implemented a new one-time consumable purchase for a single Coin that would give a player a huge amount of Pokéballs.
