THQ Nordic announced a a release date for its remaster of Red Faction Guerilla this week, there’s also a slick new gameplay trailer too.
This remaster will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on July 3rd, 2018. It will support 4K resolution on PS4 Pro, Xbox One X, and PCs. But it’s not just improved resolution being brought to the table either. The remastered version will have higher quality textures, improved lighting and shadows and even some new postprocessing effects thrown into the mix. All the very enjoyable destructible environments and the associated gameplay elements are going to remain unaltered though.
Also, if you already own the original version from 2009 on Steam, you can snag a copy of the remaster for completely free. Red Faction Guerilla was a great game when it was first released, and if you enjoyed the original, I’d suggest checking the remaster out when it hits next month.
