The Dungeness Crab in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a rarer deep-sea spawn that can start showing up on islands this month. The rare spawn is needed to fill out the aquarium and is one of the harder ones to find. Here are some basic tips to help catch it.
You won’t need to worry about spawn times for this sea creature, as the Dungeness Crab can spawn at any time. The crab will be found out in the sea, so you will need to have both the wet suit and snorkel. When you have those equipped, walk to the water and press A to wade out into the sea.
When you swim around, look for the bubbles coming up to the surface. While you’re swimming around in the water, press A repeatedly to speed up as well. When you find bubbles, press Y to dive down. Swim toward the dark shape under the water to catch the sea creature. It’s hard to tell what spawn you got until you dive down though, so you kind of just have to hope.
