Jump Force shows off Rurouni Kenshin in new gameplay trailer

JUMP FORCE Ruroni Kenshin Trailer

Jump Force had already confirmed that the sword-wielding badasses from iconic anime series Rurouni Kenshin would be in the game, but we haven’t seen any gameplay until now. Bandai Namco just pushed out a new gameplay trailer for Himura Kenshin and Makoto Shishio as the newest confirmed fighters in the game.

The two characters in question are main character Himura Kenshin, whose playstyle is very much in keeping with his samurai abilities, meaning he uses his sword extensively in fights. Makoto Shishio brings his own deadly skills to bear as well. In the trailer, we see the two swordsman do battle against each other. Kenshin is fast and darts around the screen quickly with swift sword slashes. Shishio, on the other hand, has big powerful strikes at his disposal. His sword attacks have fire attached to them, and they make up most of what we see from him in this showcase.

Anime fans have a ton of cool stuff to look forward to with characters, both playable and not, with this game and its massive and expanding roster. The two newest additions join a roster of more than two dozen fighters from across the spectrum of anime characters. Some are joining Jump Force from violent or combat-focused franchises like Dragon Ball or Naruto, while some characters are coming hard out of left field from seemingly unrelated properties like Yu-Gi-Oh!.

If you want to see some more characters in action, there’s plenty to gawk at in other trailers. During TGS 2018, characters from Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter were revealed. Yugi Moto from Yu-Gi-Oh! was another addition to be unveiled after that.
