Far Cry 6: How to unlock amigos Chorizo and Boom Boom

Where to get more Supremo-Bond in Far Cry 6

Far Cry 6’s amigos are one of the best parts of the game and in this guide, we’re going to look at how to unlock Chorizo and Boom Boom. There are a total of five amigos to unlock in Far Cry 6, not counting the DLC exclusive ones. Each amigo has unique abilities that can aid you throughout the game and they are split up into two groups, combat amigos and stealth amigos. Chorizo and Boom Boom both belong to the stealth amigo group.  So, let’s see where we can unlock these loveable critters.

How to unlock Chorizo and Boom Boom in Far Cry 6

Chorizo is the most adorable amigo you’ve ever seen. This wonderful little Dachshund is a stealth amigo who can distract enemies with his overwhelming cuteness. Fully upgraded, Chorizo also has some awesome skills. With his Bloodhound ability, he can detect and tag nearby crafting materials. His “Yes, you can” ability regenerates your health when you pet him. His Keen Senses ability allows him to find and dig up resources for you to collect. You can unlock Chorizo after getting to the Montero section of the game in Costa Del Mar. After first meeting Chorizo and Philly you will be able to interact with Chorizo at the camp. Chorizo will first want you to find him some food which will send you on a fetch quest for crocodile meat (his favorite). After feeding him the crocodile meat he will have another quest where you follow him. He will show you some spots where resources are hidden and dig them up for you. After completing the follow quest Chorizo will become available to use as an amigo.

Boom Boom is another very good boy amigo. Boom Boom, like Chorizo, is a stealth amigo. Boom Boom is able to loot dead enemies for you and retrieve their resources. Boom Boom’s unlockable abilities are also very useful. His Pointer has him automatically mark the locations of enemies on your map, essentially replacing having to use the phone to mark enemies manually. His Expert Tracker ability allows him to tag targets who are even further away. Thick Coat allows Boom Boom to take more damage without getting knocked out. To unlock Boom Boom you’ll need to complete the “Boom or Bust” quest in Valle de Oro. When you unlock Camp Maximas there will be a note in the center of the camp, attached to a pole. The note is called “The Shipment From Montana” and details where a shipment of American weapons has been found. Complete the quest of finding the shipping container of weapons and you will also find Boom Boom in the same container. Once you open the container Boom Boom will join you as an amigo.

It’s definitely worth fully upgrading Chorizo and Boom Boom if you value stealth. Both of these stealth amigos provide great advantages to progressing through the game in a stealthy manner. And while we’re at it, you can go get some other cool companions. The angry croc Guapo is a ton of fun. Meanwhile, the rooster Chicharron is a little ball of anger and feathery rage.

Which would you prefer? The adorable Chorizo or the loveable Boom Boom?

Medicine is another good thing to hunt down if you’re upgrading your base.. You will need it to expand your base. It’s also much easier to find out in the world. You might also want to go hunting Durable Plastic from enemy vehicles. To get plenty of camp resources and other upgrades, you might want to gather up some Yaran Pesos. If you’re after a better set of gear, go find and upgrade the Supremo.
