We finally have a release date for the long-awaited Switch port of the Bandai Namco’s God Eater 3 , the even more insane and action-packed monster-killing extravaganza which finally headed to stalk the lands of the Nintendo portable console.
God Eater 3 is the direct sequel to God Eater 2 Rage Burst, picking up the story at a time of desperation and cataclysm. The Earth is ravaged by destructive Aragami, who carve a path of destruction across the blasted wastes. Hunting these massive beasts in the Ashlands is an elite group of hunters known only as the God Eaters. These heroes use incredible abilities to take on these terrifying foes, abilities that have been very much tweaked and powered-up in this new game.
God Eater 3 features many new abilities and combat systems, such as the new Burst Arts and reworked skill system. These revamped mechanics are much more complex compared to previous games, and the newest entry in the franchise features a much richer story and combat engine because of it.
And that richness is only getting better of time as Bandai Namco release new updates and content for the game. There’s plenty of new missions coming for this ARPG, with the upcoming 1.30 update slated to add even more monster-slaying goodness. You’ll also be able to take on these missions and many more by going online with up to eight players via the Switch Online service.
Check out the trailer for the Switch port down below. This new entry in the action RPG franchise is due out on July 12th for the Switch, and is available now on PS4 and PC.
