In Fortnite Chapter 3 Week 5, you’re going to be doing a bit more exploring of the map this week. You need to complete various tasks to earn Battle Pass rewards and XP. The week 5 challenges run the gamut from the mundane to the bizarre. Players have to do a lot this week, and try and find some rather hidden locations. There’s a bunch of stuff to do this week, including some new items to get used to. And there’s one that really should become part of your loadout in any game where you can get it, the Shield Sprinkler.
Where to find the Shield Sprinkler in Fortnite
There are many new and returning items in Fortnite with Chapter 3 Season 1. Players are no stranger to the idea of usable healing and powerups. The passive healing by campfires is just one example. Epic Games have added another healing option: Shield Kegs (or Shield Sprinklers). The challenges this week for Week 5 involve finding and use one of these. Here’s what to do.
Shield Kegs can be found on the ground, in Chests, and in Supply Drops. They are also currently available for purchase from Lt. John Llama and The Scientist. There’s a very small chance you’ll find one as generic loot, so it’s a good bet to just go buy one. You need to have Gold Bars to buy them, so go do some NPC bounties first.
These items can be thrown onto the ground, spraying blue goop everywhere. To get healed by the Shield Sprinkler in Fortnite, and complete the challenge, you need to stand in the goop.
These new items are insanely powerful, as they can restore 100 Shield. This means their healing potential beats out that of Slurp Juice and even Chug Splashes. For the use of one item, they really can’t be beat when it comes to staying in the fight. You can bet Duo players and other teams will find a lot of use from these items in clutch moments.
