X019 has wrapped for the day, but the news continues to flow in and bring more and more games to the forefront. The big focus for Microsoft this year was their on-demand Xbox Game Pass service for Xbox One and PC. The great platform already has more than 100 games on it, for both Xbox One and PC, all for just $10 a month. But now that awesome deal is getting better. In 2020, Microsoft will bring dozens of games to Xbox Game Pass. Among this deluge of new additions, many great games are coming. Of course there’s great games like The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, as well as many more titles.
There’s dozens of titles in all, and they seem to be split pretty evenly. About half will be headed for PC exclusively, while the other half will be split between the Xbox One or both platforms. It’s great to see this big amount of games coming, and it’s certainly making me consider renewing my sub to Game Pass Ultimate in 2020. Those Final Fantasy games alone, nine in total, are making me really excited. And that’s without mentioning the other great games.
Microsoft is also bringing new games to the service today just to kick things off. Here’s the quick rundown of all the new games coming today.
- Age of Empires II: Definitive Edition (PC only)
- Rage 2 (Xbox One only)
- Remnant: From the Ashes (Xbox One only)
- The Lego Ninjago Movie Videogame (Xbox One only)
- The Talos Principle (Xbox One and PC)
- Tracks: The Train Set Game (Xbox One and PC)
- Age of Wonders: Planetfall (Xbox One only)
But this is certainly not all Microsoft has planned. To tease the future of the on-demand gaming service, there’s a new trailer teasing more games. The other announcements made today at X019 also clue gamers in to more games coming. Age of Empires 4 is headed to the service to bring some RTS action. Sega has teamed up with Microsoft to bring several Yakuza games to the Xbox, and even Squre Enix has some fun coming in with the inclusion of multiple Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy titles.
