We’re opening up for some new writers to join our team. Right now we’re looking for more guide writers for Path of Exile. We’ve steadily built a growing backlog of guides for the ARPG, and want to expand quickly. The main focus for these new positions is creating and maintaining build guides, and keeping them updated for future patches.
Of course, you can write about other content, but we really want more POE content on the site, so that will pay a fair bit more.
- Deep understanding of Path of Exile, its mechanics and current meta.
- Experience in Journalism, Communications and Creative Writing is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with blogging platforms (WordPress) and social media
- A strong sense of self-motivation
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a particularly strong grasp of English wiring and grammar
Yes, this is a paid position. Payment is based on both the type of content and the volume of traffic it receives. Here’s how payment breaks down.
$0.75 per 300+ word news article, op-ed, or other item submitted. $0.10 per 200 pageviews on each item.
$1.25 per 500+ word niche piece, review or game guide submitted. $0.25 per 200 pageviews on each item of this type.
If your content gets more long-term traffic that warrants payment, rest assured you’ll get paid even after the initial two weeks run out. Although the typical lifespan of written content for hitting high impression counts is within those two weeks from going live.
All positions are paid based on CPM (share of revenue per 1,000 page impressions on your content). Payment is made on a Net 7 schedule. For example, payment owed for a previous week running from August 6th to August 12th would be paid on the following Monday, August 20th. All payments are made via PayPal.
Authors get indefinite hosting of their content so they may use the content they write to gain exposure for other professional efforts. You can also ask to remove your content at any time.
If you’re interested in writing for us, simply email [email protected] and we can get started. Be prepared to submit content you’ve written as part of the review process.
