Deadly Premonition 2 has a new trailer, welcoming fans of the series back to the cult classic setting. Given the bizarre tone of the original game, Le Carré is about to get very weird.
The new game takes place in Le Carré Louisiana, an otherwise unremarkable town. The second game takes the setting of this new investigation away from the Twin Peaks-inspired Greenvale, Washington for a more Southern-US feel that’s much more primed for strangeness. The legacy of cultural influences here is rife territory for some rather scary storytelling as well. It will be very interesting to see how Deadly Premonition 2 handles the new setup and story.
Said new story is a split timeline affair that takes place before the events of the first game. Agent York Morgan is back, but this time players are getting something else new. There will actually be two protagonists this time. The lovable weirdo from the first entry is joined by Agent Aaliyah Davis, in an entirely new investigation. The split timelines kick off from the start, with York dealing with events in the past, while Davis handles things and follows his trail in the present.
Deadly Premonition 2: A Blessing in Disguise is set to launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch on July 10. Check out the trailer for the game down below.
