How to use a Crucifix in Phasmophobia

Going ghost hunting in Phasmophobia is no easy task. Players will encounter all manner of angry ghosts that they will have to deal with. The ghosts are petty and pretty angry, considering they’re dead and all. There are a few items to make ghost hunting easier, one of them is the Crucifix in Phasmophobia. You can use this in-game item to quell an angered spirit and protect your team from a rather angry ghoul. Here’s how to use a Crucifix in Phasmophobia.

How to use a Crucifix in Phasmophobia

You can get the Crucifix from any random item spawns. It can also be used a couple of times before its effect wears off. You only have two uses, so use them wisely. Knowing that the item has a set radius can help. You can set up a safe room of sorts by placing a couple of them down and having your team inside their radii.

Picking a good location for the Crucifix is essential. Try and figure out where the ghost will begin its hunt to know where you need to focus. The Crucifix will help reduce the chance that a ghost enters the hunt, so focusing on the area they’re most aggressive in can help with that. You can use the Crucifix to ensure that more probing questions don’t anger a ghost too much, so use that to your advantage. After a hunt begins a lot of the utility of the crucifix is lost. Once the hunt begins, you need to be ready to hide, as the preventative measures you have in place won’t be as helpful.

We recommend scouting the entire haunted locale first and getting a sense of where the ghost is actually at. Once you have nailed down the room the ghost is in, it’s time to begin your prep. Place your Crucifix, or Crucifixes, accordingly, and memorize where they are in case it goes into hunting mode.
