Elden Ring has some powerful and dangerous bosses. You also need to do a ton of exploration of its open world. The amount of hidden stuff in this game is kind of impressive. Players will not only have to tackle an army of bosses and undead, but there are many hidden items to find. As you get your hands on more items and improve your builds, there’s a lot more potential to uncover. You can uncover powerful like weapons and Talismans to take on tougher fights, but you’re sometimes going to have to rely on defense as well.
As you explore the world, you will want to put a lot of time into finding upgrades. You can find armor and weapons all over that add unique movesets and skills There’s a lot of focus on defense as much as offensive.
Where to find the Icon Shield in Elden Ring
The Icon Shield in Elden Ring is a pretty useful item. It’s directly based on another shield from Dark Souls 3, so you can see where the influence is coming from. Fans might want to get their hands on it. The Icon Shield in Elden Ring has no skill attached, but it does give you a minor HP boost to regen. The item scales with Strength, and requires 22 Strength to use. This shield can be found inside a crumbling building at Woodfolk Ruins.
To obtain this shield, you will first need to make your way to Altus Plateau. To get here, you need to get a fair bit through the game. First, unlock the Great Lift by collecting the two parts of the Dectus Medallion from Fort Faroth and Fort Haight. From there, get to the northern part of Liurnia through the Lift. From there, you will have to fight your way through various dungeons. This will lead you to Atlus Plateau, and you’re almost done.
The area you’re looking for is the Minor Erdtree, which is a pretty large zone. The ruin you’re looking for is on the eastern side of the zone. As shown on the map below, you will need to travel to the ruins to the northeast of the Minor Erdtree. You will know when you found it as there’s a Wormface surrounded by a bunch of slugs. You will find the shield in the middle of all those worms.
This item can be enchanted with Magic or boosted with consumable items. You can scale it up to +10 at the max level, increasing the Stamina damage it does with its basic charge attack.
