Season of the Chosen Week 1 will alllow players to sink their teeth into the new content in Destiny 2. The Seasonal Challenges are pretty important, so you will want to complete them. Each week, the list will refresh, adding new tasks. Each week, Bungie will be adding more over time. We can expect the number to change each week, as well as the difficulty to increase. Here are the Seasonal Challenges in Week 1 of Season of the Chosen.
But first, let’s talk about why you’re doing this. Season of the Chosen remixed a lot of things. The Tribute Chests in the new four-part Battlegrounds are a new loot system, and the primary means for getting Umbral Engrams. Aside from the loot, there are tons of new bosses to fight as well. And you can only get to fight them if you put the work in.
You will need to earn lots of Cabal Gold to do all of this, as pretty much all the content in the new season requires you to spend it. But beyond that, completing Seasonal Challenges will unlock upgrades and loot, like the Proving Runes which improve the Hammer of Proving. The Hammer of Proving is the new main mechanic in Season of the Chosen, you need to upgrade it and add elements to it over the course of Season 13 to get the most out of it. Completing these challenges will also award War Table Reputation, which can used for various things.

Contender’s Ascent
Report to the War Table in the HELM and complete the Challenger’s Proving quest. Then defeat Cabal with Rocket Launchers anywhere in the system. Get 75 Rocket Launcher kills and complete the Challenger’s Proving.

Golden Reaper
Acquire 100 Cabal Gold by playing strikes, Gambit, Crucible, public events, and more.
Rewards: XP, Medium War Table Reputation
Crash and Converge
Smash five Tribute Chests and focus five Season of the Chosen Engrams using charges from the Hammer of Proving.
Rewards: XP, Medium War Table Reputation

Complete three weekly playlist challenges.

On Europa, earn progress by completing 10 total bounties, patrols, public events, and Lost Sectors.

Calibrate Kinetic weapons on Europa. Earn bonus progress in Lost Sectors.

Dredgin’ Up Victory
Complete Gambit matches. Earn bonus progress for wins.

Defeat 50 Guardians in the Mayhem playlist with Super abilities

Defeat Fallen combatants in strikes. Earn bonus progress for defeating tougher combatants. Head into the Devil’s Lair of Fallen Saber Strikes to find Fallen foes and take them out.
