Grinding Gear Games has released a major FAQ update for Path of Exile Harvest. The developer has revealed a bunch of different elements that players will use to engage with the new league content. Check out the condensed version of the FAQ down below.
Do seeds stack?
Yes. You will also be able to access the Grove and seeds from your hideout.
How do I make my plants grow?
Growth cycles are controlled via seed caches. When a new seed cache is opened during regular play, one tick of the growth within the Sacred Grove occurs.
What happens if I don’t plant my seeds, will they disappear?
No. The seeds will stay in your stockpile.
If I don’t feel like tending my garden, what happens if I skip entering the garden for a map?
You can play the league content whenever you want without any negative consequences.
How do I get garden equipment?
You get some for free, then you can buy whatever you need with Condensed Lifeforce.
Can I accidentally target my garden’s infrastructure while I’m fighting monsters?
GGG aims to not have the Metamorph issue whatsoever.
How do I know which crafting options I’ll get?
Seeds will be marked with which category they belong to. Players will also be able to use the crafting UI to get things sorted with crafting. For each seed planted and harvested, which means killing the spawned mobs, there will be a range of crafting options presented.
Does Harvest crafting also benefit low level players?
If you are a slow-paced player that likes to take their time and accumulate better gear in order to complete the story line Harvest will help you with that exponentially. If you like to rush the leveling content the league mechanic will most likely not make that big of a deal.
Do monsters from the garden also drop items?
Yes. The monsters will drop more items than usual along with Harvest-specific uniques. So this makes farming for the items via the gardening system possible.
What’s the motivation for killing more monsters?
More crafting availability in a single session. The crafting system will also make it clear which recipes you have unlocked. Tracking recipes you have yet to unlock is a bit unclear though.
Will there be some way to know when your plants are ready to Harvest without visiting your garden?
There should be a UI system that lets you know you are ready to harvest.
Will my garden ever reset?
No. GGG will give you a chance to keep your progress across leagues ostensibly. You will also be able to track progress across the entire account, which means it’s shared by all characters.
