Hitman 3 is almost here. The new adventures of Agent 47 are setting a new standard for IO Interactive and their efforts with the franchise. Not only are we getting tons of new levels and challenges, the game is also aiming to get as many people playing assassin as possible. The launch for this game is going to be huge, and there’s a lot of hype. So folks are pretty curious to know when it comes out. And they’re also just as curious to know when they can preload it. Here are the unlock times and preload times for Hitman 3.
Let’s reiterate the basics first. Hitman 3 comes out on Jan. 20 for all major platforms. Yes, even the Switch. That means PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S, and PC are all getting versions. The Switch version will be a cloud title though, meaning you need a fairly fast internet connection to stream the game. Also, the PC port is exclusive to the Epic Games Store. So if that bothers you, watch out.
The game is due on a variety of platforms, which means some consoles will get it later than others. Xbox players are luckiest I guess, as they can preload the game right now. And the game will unlock when it releases on Jan. 20. Here are the various Hitman 3 unlock times you can use to know when to start downloading, but these are for preload, not the full launch.

- Xbox – Xbox users can already begin preload right now, so get on it.
- PlayStation – The game will unlock for Sony platforms at 9 am ET on January 18
- PC – The Epic Games Store doesn’t support preload for this release, so you have to wait until launch day.
- Switch – The Switch version of Hitman 3 is a cloud-based title, so there’s no preloading required.
