How the Field Hospital in Darkest Dungeon 2 works

Stagecoach in Darkest Dungeon 2 Guide

Darkest Dungeon 2 loves its random combat encounters and other hidden secrets. Fighting off the hordes of darkness is hard work, though, and you’re sometimes going to want a rest. When you find places like the Field Hospital in Darkest Dungeon 2, you will want to make use of them. This guide will explain the basics of what you can do. But first, let’s talk a bit about the game and how it works.

As you travel around the world, via the Stagecoach, you will find many different random levels. The map is randomly populated before you reach the Inn, and there’s a lot to fight. There will also be times when you need to rest. The Field Hospital is one of many different locations you can find randomly spawned in the game.

You can do two primary functions here. The first thing you will notice is that some healing items are locked to use at the Field Hospital in Darkest Dungeon 2. These items have a clear marker on them, and often have increased effectiveness as a bonus. The Field Hospital is the only location in Darkest Dungeon 2 where you can modify and lock in Quirks on your characters. The character-specific buffs can offer unique effects in combat and other encounters. You will want to take them when you get the chance.

You also have the chance to purchase several items at the Field Hospital. These will also be unique and rather powerful. So since the hospital is a random spawn, it’s a good idea to try and get to it when it does spawn.
