Splatoon 2 is getting on the new years and holiday goodness with a special event for players. And just like the Halloween event, the Switch News Channel gives players a shot at some cool cosmetic items for free.
This newest Splatfest marks the end of 2018 for the competitive and fun title, but players can expect some more content in 2019. Though major content updates have largely ceased, Nintendo could bring new seasonal events to the game to give players more rewards for playing. In the case of the FrostyFest, players can get a series of New Year’s items, including New Year’s Glasses (with the Special Charge Up perk), a Twisty Headband (with Special Power Up), the Festive Party Cone (with Main Power Up), and the Eel-Cake Hat (with Quick Respawn).
Maps will also get a reskin with a more wintry theme to match the season, so if you’re a Winter fan, now is the time to really enjoy some Splatoon 2 action.
The FrostyFest Splatfest for Splatoon 2, a Nintendo Switch exclusive, will last from January 4 to January 6.
