Destiny 2 has come crashing into 2020. As some fans are left disappointed over the grind this year, Bungie could turn things around. The new story featuring the return of the Darkness is coming. Bungie has just revealed some basic details about Destiny 2 Beyond Light, the new expansion for the game in 2020.
As new mysteries and old foes return to Europa, the Guardians must be ready to face them. Gamers will get more news as we near the launch of the new expansion. So far, we know that the Destiny 2 Beyond Light expansion premiers September 22.
The Darkness are an incredibly vicious foe, so we can expect new enemies and bosses to come flooding in. And the name also suggest a major metagame shift. The Light level used as a generic power level indication could be in for a major change soon. It could be that Bungie is working on revamping the system, and including a story reason for doing so. We will see the return of Exo Stranger, among other older story elements in Destiny 2 with the expansion as well.
This week Bungie has also taken to revealing details about the new content coming ahead of Destiny 2 Beyond Light. Season of Arrivals will follow Season of the Worthy starting this month. Players will get a new Season Pass with both paid and free rewards for playing and completing quests. Bungie also debuted a new trailer for the Season of Arrivals. Check that out below.
Bungie will launch Destiny 2: Beyond Light for Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on September 22. Next-generation versions of Destiny 2 and Beyond Light will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X later this year.
