How to complete the Paladins Battle Pass

Paladins

Since Hi-Rez reworked the Paladins progression system at the start of 2020, dealing with the Battle Pass in the game has been quite the task. The Paladins Battle Pass has been shuffled around a fair bit. It’s been made more rewarding to sink time into the game. Previous systems focused way too much on grinding out ranks and daily login rewards. That gets tiring very quickly.

The overall system is much easier to manage now, with the challenges all being unlocked from the start. You can stick to the free pass, or move over to the premium version. No matter what version you choose you will get plenty of different rewards without having to sink hundreds of hours into the game.

The key to maximizing gains is to complete the tasks that reward the most EXP the fastest. Head over to the Battle Pass screen and see which challenges can be taken out the quickest, complete those first.

As you play through the game, you will notice that you gain various ranks through the Battle Pass system. The developers will swap things around and add new stuff to do as well. There will be multiple challenges during each cycle, with HiRez shifting the roster around every so often. And you will also notice that the daily crystal rewards have been moved to the free tier.

For example, here are some of the challenges on the Darkness and Dragons Paladins battle pass:

  • Play 10 matches as Furia
  • Heal for 25,000 in one match
  • Play one Onslaught match
  • Play 10 Onslaught matches
  • As you can see, there is nothing stopping you from completing all four challenges – and potentially others – together. And this system applies to all Paladins battle passes going forward. At the current pace that Hi-Rez is releasing them, we expect to get six battle passes a year.

Players can complete these basic challenges, or move over to the premium track of the Paladins Battle Pass. The premium track of the battle pass in this game is similar to other systems in similar titles. As is custom the premium track is usually a paid addition. You can however unlock the premium version just by playing the game.

But what about the premium track? That’s where the spicier battle pass content lives, after all. The good news is that with a little bit of patience, you can unlock the premium track by just playing. This is because the battle pass restructure moved the daily crystal rewards into the free track. Currently, completing any two battle passes earns you the 600 crystals required to purchase the premium track of the following battle pass. And completing the premium track gives you enough crystals to purchase the next one, and so on.
