The Spyro Reignited Trilogy coming soon to PC

The Sony PlayStation, one of the best consoles ever made, and the hallmark of many gamer’s first introduction in 3D gaming, has long held a place of joy in the hearts of many. And a big part of that feeling is from treasured game franchises like Spyro the Dragon. And with a newly released collection, a fully recreated version of the classic platforming game series has been recapturing hearts all over again.

It has already been launched for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but now it’s coming to PC.

In terms of what’s included, it’s three games in all, Spyro the Dragon, Spyro 2: Riptor’s Rage!, and Spyro: Year of the Dragon. Those are some of the best platformers ever made, and one of Sony’s major successes since the early days of the PlayStation brand. So if you’re looking for a good stiff shot of nostalgia, this may be the place to look.

The Spyro Reignited Trilogy will come to PC on September 3rd, while also launching for Nintendo Switch at the same time. It will retail for US$39.99 as a package deal. To celebrate this announcement, Toys for Bob and Insomniac Games have unleashed a new trailer for the Unreal-powered retro rebirth. You can see that trailer down below.

In addition to the final PC release date, the publisher and developer have revealed the full requirements for the PC port of the retro games collection. Given that’s this is basically a visual overhaul of a PSX era console title, it’s pretty easy to run even on a middle-of-the-road PC. Check out the full requirements down below.
