Ruiner coming to Switch “soon”

Ruiner

Reikon Games’ Ruiner will be coming to the Nintendo Switch sometime in 2020. According to a new Twitter teaser from the developer, the game will be coming out “SOON”. The game was teased by Reikon by posting a tweet that included binary, which translated to SOON. The new action game is getting a Switch port that brings a new era of action to the Nintendo portable console.

Ruiner is a “top-down action shooter created in the spirit of cult cyberpunk anime and game classics,” according to the developer. Reikon Games has teased the new title as being set in a “dark future” with “cyberpunkish” elements as well. The player takes on the role of Puppy, an adventurous and murderous hacker who is sowing chaos throughout the city of Rengkok in the far-flung future of 2091.

The gameplay involves zipping around the neon-soaked nightmare, using your combat talents to take down legions of enemies protecting Boss, the mystical figure ruling over the city with an iron fist. With a very flexible play style that allows players to drop in and play at any time, this makes the port to the Switch a very good idea.

Ruiner is out now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. The game was also recently given away on the Epic Games Store.
