We’re so close to the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 that I can taste it. But Rockstar is still busy stocking up the hype machine for the game with plenty of fuel. And the latest batch of fresh hype comes from Sony as they showcase some new content that arriving on day one for PS4 users.
In the latest trailer we see a total of four new items that will be offered to PS4 owners as part of the release of the game. Three of the four items will be exclusive to Red Dead Online, so you need to have a PS+ subscription to claim them.
There’s the Red Chestnut Arabian Horse which offers much better speed and handling than most of the starter steeds in the game. To go with that special horse, there’s also a cool saddle. The Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle will also be part of Red Dead Online and will boost base health and stamina a bit. Using these two items in unison provides a pretty substantial speed boost to your trusty mount.
The third and final Red Dead Online item is a High Roller Double-Action Revolver. This wonderful revolver not only looks incredible with its intricate engravings, it’s also a very deadly weapon. Aside from the unique visual style, the gun has a high rate of fire.
The one item that features in both the singleplayer and multiplayer modes is the Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit. It’s a unique outfit with a mysterious theme that makes your character certainly look the part of a murderous desperado.
Rockstar describes the outfit like this:
wool-lined, long coat with custom, hand-tooled leather accents, a leather vest with ornate pattern details, stand wing-tip collar with black neckerchief, and custom ornate buckle with matching boot tips
