The worlds of the adventure game have a ton of new underground biomes.

There are many new cave types being added to your Minecraft worlds have a lot more variety. Caves can spawn all over, and in different forms. One type you will find pretty often is Lush Caves. These are where you can find many different new items and plants. Here are some helpful tips on how to find Lush Caves in Minecraft 1.18.

The first thing you need to remember when hunting world features like this is that the World Seed can affect it. The spread of different biomes can be massively affected by the seed that you use. If you find yourself having trouble finding a certain biome, try a new seed. Anyway, here’s the best tip we can give.

One of the best ways to find these places is to look for Azalea Trees. Lush Caves are found underneath Azalea Trees or Flowering Azalea Leaves. You will find these in Forest biomes, so keep your eyes peeled. They look very similar to oak trees so they can sometimes be a bit hard to see.

These new trees have special purple flowers in their leaves that mark them as the right kind. The bark of these trees looks the same as any other, so you have to look at the leaves. If you find an Azalea Tree growing on the surface, there is likely a lush cave underneath it.

Lush Caves in Minecraft 1.18 can also hide Glow Berries, as well as a ton of other plant life. In fact, one of the better ways to spot a Lush cave is to look for the light sources spawned with them. The Glow Berries and a few other things can be light sources. Spotting these underground usually means a few different things. Either you’ve tunneled into a mineshaft and are seeing torches, or you landed in a lush cave. Lava pools can also be found in this manner, but only at a certain Z level.
