New Just Cause 4 trailer highlights Rico’s rival

Just Cause 4 Rico's Rival Trailer

Rico Rodriguez has long been an untouchable badass when it came to the Just Cause games, well Just Cause 4 wants players to know that things won’t be so easy this time around. Judging from a new trailer just released from Avalance and Square Enix, Rico has a new enemy, an enemy which may be just as dangerous and destructive as he is.

Gabriela Morales leads the Black Hand, the technologically super-advanced opposition that Rico must depose to gain control over Solis. She grew up in some pretty rough circumstances, and is just as gruff and combat-effective as Rico. This means players should look at her as a reflection of the protagonist in terms of skill and determination to win.

Throughout the course of Just Cause 4, you’ll go head to head with her and her Black Hand cronies as you battle over resources, strategic locations and extremely powerful weapons. Some of which can even control the weather. As you battle Gabriela, you’ll come to respect her as a worthy enemy, but you need to win all the same.

If you want to check out more gameplay for Just Cause 4, there’s tons of other gameplay footage and peeks behind-the-scenes for the game. There’s even an awesome trailer that shows tornadoes ripping the landscape apart. You should also look into the biomes that separate the land of Solis into distinct parts. You could also take a look at the 20-minute gameplay session from TGS.
