Get Monster Hunter World free on PC

Graphics card giant Nvidia is looking to shift some of their older last-generation GPUs with a new offer that will let you snag a free copy of Monster Hunter World if you buy certain SKUs.

Through a new promotion in collaboration with Capcom called “The Hunt Begins”, which starts today and will run until November 29, Nvidia will give you a download code for a copy of the latest game in the Monster Hunter franchise if you pick up a mid-range GPU. In other words, if you purchase a 6GB 1060, 1070 or 1070 Ti card, you get a great game.

As well as buying a Series-10 card directly from Nvidia, you can also pick up the same deal if you get a GTX 1060, GTX 1070 and GTX 1070 Ti from Overclockers UK, Scan, AWD-IT, CCL, eBuyer, Falcon Computers, Fierce, and Novatech.

With Nvidia’s new 20XX series cards on the horizon to replace these mid-range cards, and prices starting to fall due to the faltering cryptocurrency mining bubble, now is as good a time as any to stitch together a mid-range PC for that little brother or less-demanding relative ahead of the holiday rush. And don’t worry, the download codes are good till the end of the year.

Monster Hunter World is an excellent and challenging game that sees the player doing exactly what the name implies, hunting big monsters. The open-world setting, beautiful visuals and varied monster designs add to the overall experience, which is pretty wonderful. For both new players and old veterans of the franchise, this is arguably one of the best Monster Hunter games ever released on a console. Monster Hunter World is available now on PC, Xbox One and PS4.
