You’ve spent hours crafting and gathering, and you’ve done it. You’re finally at the endgame of Minecraft PE and you’re ready to polish off this mobile monster hunt. Just like Java Edition, Minecraft PE requires you to head into the ominous End to complete the game. You need to do battle against the Ender Dragon and a legion of Endermen to finish off the game. That in itself isn’t easy. But the added challenge of finding and repairing an End Portal in Minecraft PE is sometimes too much.
With this guide, we will explain the basics of finding and building an End Portal in the mobile version, both in Creative and Survival modes.
How to Make an End Portal in Minecraft PE
TO start, you need to make 12 Eyes of Ender. These complicated items must be crafting using Ender Pearls, which can be harvested as a rare drop from Enderman. You then need to take the 12 Ender Pearls and combine them with Blaze Powder. That means you need to head into the Nether and harvest Blaze spawners to get the powder. Once you have that, you’re ready to find the portal.
You can spawn these in Creative mode, but you will also need 12 End Portal Frame. If you’re going the creative mode route, just spawn these two items into your inventory and create the portal manually. Create a box out of the 12 Frames, with three Frames on each side. Leave the corners out though. Once that’s done, you can place the Eyes into each of the 12 slots and when you place the last one, the portal should turn on. There need to be twelve total slots to use the End Portal properly.
Survival Mode
Getting an End Portal in Survival Mode is a much harder process, as you can’t just build the portal. You need to locate Strongholds to find the portal at the center of them. This process involves using Eyes of Ender. This means you will need more than the 12 that you have to put into the portal itself. When placing an Eye of Ender in your hand and throwing it, it will travel in the direction of the End Portal. If the Eye stops and explodes in the air, continue throwing Eyes to find the direction that the Portal is located. You will know you’re basically right on top of the Portal’s Stronghold when you throw an Eye and it hovers in the air without moving in a direction. Once you find the End Portal in the game world, you can put the Eyes in and go into the End.
