With the new Summer update to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, there are 40 new fish and deep-sea creatures to catch. There are many cool and exciting creatures to find out about. Nintendo has also enabled a new crop of bugs and fish that can be caught via normal means as well. One of these is a brand new addition called the Robust Cicada in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
The Robust Cicada can be caught from 8 am to 5 pm, from July to August, and can be found on trees and will sell for 300 Bells. The Robust Cicada can be caught from 8 am to 5 pm, from January to February. It can be found on tree trunks or on tree stumps.
Something special with the Robust Cicada is that if you hand it to Blathers, you get the following unique dialogue:
“The robust cicada got its name from the chirping sound it makes, which is said to be quite…well…robust. But “robust” hardly describes it. Abrasive! Bombastic! Cacophonous! That’s more like it! Besides the horrid caterwauling, this bug is known for its long wings, short body, and green coloring. But looking at a robust cicada is just as unpleasant as listening to one. My eyes and ears are offended.”
