Call of Cthulhu - Preview to Madness Trailer

Continuing in the horrifying trend they began a while back, publisher Focus Home Interactive and developer Cyanide Studio have unleashed another new trailer for Call of Cthulhu. And just like all the rest, it’s as equally mysterious as it is spooky.

This newest trailer echoes much of the tone set by other footage, in other words, things are eerie and hard to understand. The atmospheric horror is something that’s omnipresent in this trailer, something which fans of the source material are sure to enjoy. The ominous music and other teases of story set against the backdrop of press praise gives the impression that things went well for the game. I can’t wait to play this personally.

This isn’t Skyrim, you won’t be able to battle your way past the insane cultists, beasts and otherworldly horrors that lurk in the shadows in Call of Cthulhu. Stealth and conversational skills are an important part of your arsenal in avoiding conflict. But sometimes you’ll need to use investigative prowess to solve puzzling mysteries, or use medical knowledge to unlock hidden secrets buried in the human mind. Trick is, that you’ll probably end up having to claw your way out of your own mind, because as Edward Price is plagued by nightmarish visions, the player will be dragged into the depths along with him.

If you want to see more gameplay footage, check out the original E3 2018 trailer, there’s also the Gamescom 2018 footage available as well. And there’s even an hour-long gameplay showcase as well.
