Just Cause 4 release date announced in new E3 trailer

Just Cause 4 E3 trailer

Microsoft are going in hard on new games and great experiences in 2019 and beyond. There’s lots of new IPs and returning franchises, like Resident Evil 2, and Beyond Good and Evil 2, that are getting a glorious treatment much to the delight of fans.

Among them was Just Cause 4, showing up ahead of the planned Square Enix press conference. The long-awaited sequel now has an official release date, coming to both Sony and Microsoft’s PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles, as well as PC, on December 4th.

And as people like me who enjoyed the totally nuts action from the previous game have come to expect, the Just Cause franchise is as crazy as ever. Sandbox mayhem across a large open world with multiple factions and groups vying for your chaotic attention. Avalanche Studios are taking the previous games lessons to heart and attempting to deliver on the best version of this idea with the newest game.

The footage show is clearly still in-development, but there’s a lot of potential already. Rico is back on the front lines of another war, with all his favorite toys to play around with. Rico Rodriguez appears to have a massive arsenal and some new tools available as he uses land, air, and water vehicles to traverse the terrain of Solis.

There’s also a new weather system that we’ve seen in some of the promo materials. The developers say that the tornado seen in some of the trailers is a full-fledged physics simulation, along with all the other wind and weather in the game. Adding in these new features is nice, I just hope console performance doesn’t suffer too much.

Check out the latest trailer for the game down below. Just Cause 4 will release for PC, PS4, and Xbox One on December 4, 2018.
