Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is out now, bringing with it a new adventure for fans of the franchises. OK, it’s kind of an old adventure that has been made new again, but it’s still really cool.
The story revolves around exploring randomly generated dungeons and hunting down Pokémon to recruit for your team, it’s a lot more fun than it sounds. The ability to hunt down treasure and recruit new beast friends is a ton of fun as a singleplayer experience, but folks are wondering how to play multiplayer in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is a single-player game, and does not have what you would consider a traditional multiplayer mode. There is one option you have to play with your friends.
Head to the post office and then select “Help a friend” on the resulting options. You can use this to join with any friends as long as you have the password to their room to help them out via rescue board quests. There’s also an option play on single missions via the internet option, but that is limited to what rescue missions are available within the public sphere.
So while it’s not direct and easily accessible multiplayer, there are some options to play with your friends in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX.
