Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is almost here. Players on various platforms can start pre-loading the game soon. Since the game is a launch title for the PS5 and XSX, there’s going to be easy access for those players.
If you do decide to pre-load Black Ops Cold War, you might want to know what to expect if you’re on a slower connection or under a bandwidth cap. So if that’s you, listen up, because this is a huge game. The game hovers around 100GB at launch on all versions. Also, expect that volume to grow over time as new content is added.
You can reduce the initial install size by choosing to uninstall specific game mode packs, such as for Campaign or Zombies, in order to reduce the game’s overall file size.
Here are the file sizes for the game on all consoles:
- PlayStation 4: 95GB
- PlayStation 5: 133GB
- Xbox One: 93GB
- Xbox Series X|S: 136GB
The PC version can be split into two installs to reduce file sizes and the initial download. The game will take up 35GB for the multiplayer-only content. If you want both singleplayer and multiplayer. that’s a full 82GB needed for the game’s base content. If you want the Ultra graphics, that’s going to take up 125GB.
Below is a breakdown of when the pre-load for Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War begins on all platforms:
