PS4 Exclusive Detroit: Become Human has a new TV commercial for a main character

Markus Detroit Become Human

Today Sony Interactive Entertainment released a totally new TV commercial of Quantic Dream’s upcoming game Detroit: Become Human. It’s pretty short since it’s a TV ad, but it does offer some tiny bits of new gameplay footage. I mean seeing Markus fire an RPG teases a gameplay sequence I want to see.

As we’ve seen previously, the newest David Cage game is set to tackle some very intense subject matter, and even the commercials aren’t pulling any punches. The motivations for the increasingly destructive and dangerous choices the player has to make are all about fighting for freedom. Whether the final result is worth the effort should be entirely up to the player and their choices.

As you play Markus and the other characters, the rebellion taking place around you will shift in one direction or another depending on the choices you make and how well you play, or at least that’s the impression the marketing gives. Whether that’s actually true is up to how good David Cage and Quantic Dream are at storytelling and game design. And well, we might be in for a rough ride.

And while the gameplay seems like a tighter and more intricate experience of the gameplay elements from games like Heavy Rain, there may be other issues aside from that which damn the experience as a whole.

We’ve seen a bit of the characters like Markus before, and from what we can glean from this commercial and other gameplay snippets we’ve seen, he probably isn’t going to come out of the other side of this conflict in one piece. We’ll just have to wait until release to see just what happens to him and the other characters in Detroit: Become Human.

Detroit: Become Human will launch exclusively for PS4 on May 25th, 2018.

If you can’t wait until then, check out gameplay demo available now.
