Leaks abound in video games this week
Gamers have a bunch of new things to obsess and speculate over this week after a new batch of leaks have hit the internet.
First up, a new batch of games has been listed on Walmart Canada’s website, and it’s a very big leak if true. Although some of these listings are apparently inaccurate, like Forza Horizon 4 which was already announced, but it’s listed here as Forza Horizon 5; so just take all of these with a grain of salt.
The listings were spotted by Wario64 and posted to Twitter. Some of the big names include: Just Cause 4, a new Splinter Cell, Dragon Quest 2, LEGO DC Villains, Borderlands 3, Rage 2, Gears of War 5, Forza Horizons 5, and Assassin’s Creed. There’s also a mix of new IPs in there that we haven’t seen before.
And before you freak out, the listed prices are likely to change, assuming these listings reflect games that make it to release. Overall, just be careful about putting too much faith into this leak as it can’t really be verified.
Something to be a little less suspicious about is that the Steam Summer Sale dates have been disclosed once again for this year. According to information that’s been sent out to devs, the sale starts on 21 June at 9:55 AM PST until 5 Jul at 10:05 AM PST.
All in all, it’s a pretty exciting week for video games, and we should start saving money now if we want our wallets to survive the horde of deals headed our way.
