Final Fantasy XIV announces more Shadowbringers content

Final Fantasy XIV: Shadowbringers

Final Fantasy XIVs newest expansion, Shadowbringers, is coming soon. The more than 14 million global players are starving for more details about the new content in the long-running Final Fantasy MMO, and Square Enix is more than happy to oblige that demand. With a batch of new trailers, the company has revealed some new details about new areas of the expansive game world, as well as new end-game content.

The biggest new addition is another new class, The Dancer, who joins the likes of the Blue Mage as the optional classes in the MMO. The expansion actually adds another new class, the Gunbreaker which was previously announced.

Here’s the official blurb for the new Dancer class:

“This ranged attacker not only unleashes powerful attacks using throwing weapons, but also performs dances to execute abilities and provide beneficial effects to their party.”

The other major new announcement is the confirmation of a leaked new race coming to this MMORPG for the first time. The new Hrothgar player race is the second of two new races coming to Final Fantasy XIV. Check out a teaser trailer for the new race down below.

“The Hrothgar player race compliments the recently announced Viera as the second new playable race in Shadowbringers. The Hrothgar and Viera will both have unique, customisable features specific to their races.”

There’s a new raid, too, called Eden, which houses a new character designed by Kingdom Hearts director Tetsuya Nomura.

The expansion will also introduce two new hub areas, each with their own content, quests and themes. You can find preview trailers for both of these new cities down below.
