After a three year break from the conference, Square Enix is returning to hold a press briefing at E3 2018. The company teased fans on Twitter, although they released no firm details as to what games would be included in the showing. There is a short FAQ on the Squeenix website that gives a bit more detail though.
But the internet being well, the internet, speculation and hype are all over the place. Fans expect to see titles like Kingdom Hearts 3 and Shadow of the Tomb Raider, and even the much-anticipated FF 7 remake. Although you probably shouldn’t expect to see that last one in any substantial form. But beyond a couple of games that we expect because of the closeness of their release, not much is known as to what will be included.
The presentation will be more in line with a Nintendo Direct type of presentation as it will take the form of pre-produced video package.
The video, which will be available in both English and Japanese, is set to begin at 10 a.m. PT on Monday, June 11. It will be livestreamed on Facebook, Mixer, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube, and archived on YouTube.
Whatever ends up being in this package, gamers are probably going to be freaking out. Let’s just hope it’s not for all the wrong reasons.
