How to get all pirate items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons

Unlike the world-renowned holiday of labor rights and worker victories, May Day is a little different in video games. Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ May Day is just like that. The holiday isn’t a celebration of throwing off the chains of capitalism and the oppressor Tom Nook, rather it’s much more simple. This time around, it’s more just a flimsy holiday to ring in because we’re starting Summer in some hemispheres. Gamers looking to take part might want to know, when does May Day 2021 start in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

So just what is May Day 2021 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons? It’s just like it says on the tin. It’s just a way to celebrate the beginning of the Summer season for those of us in the Northern hemisphere. This event is a bit different than previous seasonal ones as well. Players will get a free May Day ticket from Tom Nook, and it can be redeemed with Orville at your island’s airport. Doing so will whisk the player away to a new unique island. The May Day Maze is a special place, and you will want to check it out.

When does May Day 2021 Start in Animal Crossing: New Horizons?

May Day 2021 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons began last year on April 29, and then ran for the week until May 7. During that time, you can redeem the special May Day Ticket to head to the maze. It’s a fairly simple maze to get through, and you will want to do that, because it contains hidden rewards.

Going here is a good idea if you’re short on cash. There are a bunch of Bell vouchers scattered around within the maze itself. And don’t freak out if you pick them up, the vouchers get dropped in the mail back at your island when you grab them. And if you finish the maze, be sure to look out for the new NPC Rover, as they have a special reward for you too.
