MediEvil PS4 Remake trailer released, shows spiffy new visuals

Medievil full HD remake on PS4

Sony teased this reveal last week, and now we’ve got our skeletal hands on the first trailer for the remake of the classic Playstation title, MediEvil. Today is Halloween, and Sony is getting in on the spooking really hard.

This is the first time we’ve seen any in-game footage of the remake since it was announced as part of their Playstation Experience offering that year. We see Sir Daniel in full 4K glory returning as the protagonist. The trailer splices together original gameplay footage from the PS1 with the updated visuals, and the contrast is blatantly apparent. The remake retains all of the quirky platforming and combat from the first game, while polishing everything up for a new generation.

The MediEvil series debuted on October 1st, 1998, and received two more games, MediEvil 2 in 2000, and MediEvil Resurrection in 2005, making the jump to portable on PSP. So needless to say, but there’s a small fanbase of hardcore gamers that have wanted to replay this game in full HD glory for years now.

The new trailer for MediEvil is attached below, so you should go check that out. Judging from what we can see, the remake looks incredible and is probably leading to some really excited fans right about now. The game is supposed to launch for PS4 sometime in 2019.
