Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 shows off extensive gameplay at Gamescom 2019
Gamescom 2019 is in full swing this week, and Paradox is getting in on the fun too. This time, we’re getting an in-depth look at Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2.
Being firmly based in the World of Darkness properties, this game offers a lot more than just vampires as well. We see some of these other creatures in action in the newest gameplay footage from Gamescom 2019. There are of course the requisite vamp clans that feature heavily within the franchise as both major characters and plot motivations.
There’s the enigmatic and powerful businessfolk of the Venture. Then there’s the deceptively weak, but notoriously tricky Thinbloods. The Brujah are a rough bunch of berserkers. While the Toreador are very much the common artist of the bunch, very creative, and very dangerous. Then there’s the Tremere, who are seduction incarnate. The final Malkavian reveal came out to show off another faction as well.
The various factions and beasties have long been at war with one another in some way. Each vampire and other fantastical creature has their own abilities and motivations, and this mixture will bleed through into the storytelling as well. The game will react to player choices to create a much more dynamic and replayable experience, which is sure to satisfy fans. It’s this stew of intrigue and chaos that players will find themselves immersed in when Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 releases next year.
IGN shared this new footage, and you can check it out down below. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is due out in Q1 2020. The game is looking to launch on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
