On May 22, the sequel to hit zombie survival game from 2013 lands, and Undead Labs are busy working on squeezing the last bit of hype before the release. As such, they’ve released a new trailer that focuses all about some new gameplay elements in State of Decay 2.

There’s a lot of improvements to the basic mechanics from the first game to appreciate. There’s more vehicles and weapons. All the old favorites of the genre are there, ARs, pistols and shotguns for example. But State of Decay 2 adds an extra layer of boom with grenade launchers and new sniper rifles. The driving also seems to have been improved and smoothed out.

Other aspects of the game look to have been given increased depth as well. Fort building and defensive structures are much more deadly to the undead, and with all the new guns, there’s a fair amount of new ways to mow blow zombies to bits.
