Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 unveils the Ventrue clan

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 Venture Clan

Since Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 was officially announced, there’s been a ton of hype surrounding the various Clans which are part of the World of Darkness setting that the game takes place in. These Clans represent powerful and long-standing bloodlines in the world, each with their own unique offerings and backstory.

The game will of course, much like the original version, contain many different choices for character creation. With each Clan offering their own quirks and abilities to make use of as they meander their way through the complex and shadowy world of vampires. The first Clan reveal showcased the Thinbloods. Those unique shifters were more focused on evasion and stealth, with other Clans showing off other stables of abilities. We’re nearing the home stretch though, as the Venture are the second-to-last Clan to be revealed. Previously, the Tremere, Brujah, and Toreador clans were introduced in various trailers, all showing off some cool gameplay.

The Venture are a much more psychically active group of vamps. Their big draw is that they get access to Dominate powers. These mental powers allow players to take advantage of their powers to do some really amazing things. The Mesmerise ability can entrance a target, rendering them completely plastic to your intentions. These class of abilities can be used both in and out of combat to bring about the end you want.

And then there’s the Fortitude set of powers that focus much more on combat. The Personal Armour skill literally cloaks the player in the shadows and blood that power their abilities that can eventually be made powerful enough to deflect any attacks.

The Venture have used these abilities to secure significant power and financial holdings across the globe. The Clan is a major player and power broker within the world of Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 and it will continue to be so in Seattle and beyond long after the game is finished. Although player choices may have some impact on that, we’ll have to see when the game finally comes out.

Check out the trailer for the second Clan reveal down below. Paradox is planning to drop Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 in 2020. The game is looking to launch on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
